Christopher Reeve passed away

Superman" actor Christopher Reeve, who turned personal tragedy into a public crusade and from his wheelchair became the nation's most recognizable spokesman for spinal cord research, has died. He was 52. [Ream More]

Poor guy. He'll be missed.

That's tragic. I have no doubt that had he lived another 5-10 years, with both his commendable determination and technological advances, he would have walked, and what a day for paralyzed people that would have been.

GeeK_2004 10-11-2004 01:10 PM

wow!! Talk about a surprise...!!! And I just saw him on tv couple weeks ago....
:( :( :( :(

A very sad day indeed. He had a lot of courage and really used his resources to focus attention on spinal cord research. He could have just given up, but he didn't. R.I.P. to a real-life superman.

Atleast he never gave up.

I was shocked when my music lit teacher said that today. It really sucks, even though everyone knew he'd go at any time.

H-D :pimp:

I was shocked when I heard about this to :(

I have to respect a man who when challenged with adversity, sought to use his knowledge, and personal experiences to make a change in the world.

He may have passed on, but his life will be remembered.

Dropping a pebble into the water creates ripples far into the distance.

Thanks Mulletman for this post.

In Loving Memory

yeah, that was quite sad to hear, esp considering he was working to walk again
ironically, on the same day as ken caminiti, an artificial superhero.

GoodGodGirl23 10-16-2004 06:33 PM

Rest In Peace
