No-one else to blame, says Saddam

Saddam in court Former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein has told his trial in Baghdad that he alone should be made to answer for the actions of his regime. |
Re: No-one else to blame, says Saddam
And the most 'interesting' thing he said is he had done nothing wrong:
"If it was a crime to refer for trial those accused of shooting at the president, then try me and save a lot of trouble," he told the court. |
Re: No-one else to blame, says Saddam
That's like saying only Hitler was responsible for the Holocaust.

Re: No-one else to blame, says Saddam
I'm thinking he sees no wrong in his actions because during his reign Saddam was the law. He still beleives he is just and therefore has no respect for the court.
Claiming full responsability may be an intentional display of pride for the power he once had. |
Re: No-one else to blame, says Saddam
They should skip the trial and just fry his sorry pathetic ass;)
