SAVE THE LONDON ASTORIA!Sign Petition, please!
 

In case you don't know, The Mean Fiddler have applied for planning
permission to demolish The London Astoria (and The LA2, aka The Mean
Fiddler etc) to re-develop as shops and offices. The Astoria is a great venue for gigs....i'm a rocker and i have so many memories of rock gigs over there. It's a friendly venue and bands love it.

Now I'm sure you all appreciate just exactly how much we all need even
more shops and offices at the junction of Oxford Street, Tottenham Court
road and Charing Cross Road (right opposite the empty Centrepoint
building) and it's not like there's an abundance of decent sized live
music venues in Central London (in fact there isn't one other decent one
for miles) so here's your chance to do something about it:

Omg what the hell are they thinking !?
My first AB gig was at the Astoria!
Amazing memories and an ace venue!

I hope they dont go through with destroying it..

Oh, man, that's awful. I have some awesome bootlegs from that place. I hope they save it. That would be a shame to lose a venue with such a rich rock history.
