A Perfect Circle

See the new APC video. Thats what me need, bikini clad models with an attitude!! None of that artsie-fartsie bullshit they've done for years. bikini models!!!!!!!!!

...eh, ive got nothing.

SCOTTSMYMAN 05-27-2004 09:34 AM

Where did you see it? They had to release it on DVD so we could see the whole uncut version. I bought it the other day but still haven't watched it. I thought it sucked the first time I saw it but eh, to each their own!! My favorite video they did was ~3 Libras~

Mulletman 05-27-2004 09:39 AM

its not shown as much as i would like, but i see it on FuseTV and MTV2 Rock and the Rock Countdown on mtv.

Dogstar 05-27-2004 12:40 PM

Yeah, I bought it, too, but I haven't watched it yet, either :D.

aussiecreeder 05-27-2004 08:50 PM

haven't got the DVD yet but last i heard billy howerdel was doing a solo album while maynard was off with tool. :smileyban

Dogstar 05-27-2004 08:55 PM

LOL, that's after the tour is finished :D...they finish on June 13...Luvscott4ever is going to that show!

lol oh yeah after the tour is finished! hopefully billy writes some of that harder stuff. maynard wanted apc to his softer side so hopefully billy writes some more "judith" like tunes! his voice ain't too bad either......

Dogstar 05-27-2004 09:49 PM

Yeah, he does a great job on backup vocals! I'm looking forward to his solo stuff. I think he's really talented and sometimes is overshadowed by Maynard. They did have some creative differences this time around sound-wise from what I have read. Billy had all the music written way before Maynard added the lyrics for Mer de Noms, so the second time around the dynamics were a little different. Either way, I'm looking forward to more Tool and more Billy!

yeah i can see that maynard wants apc to be his softer side but it would be great if apc could rock out a little more as well. i love that etheral sound of apc but i wouldn't mind some more soloing from billy. he is such a great songwriter though, one of the best in the business.

Lucky girl!!!! Anyways, I watched the DVD last night. Not much diffrent then what you might have seen on MTV!! Just alot of cursing and the video still sucks! They also had episodes of the Bikini Bandits! I don't understand Maynard's fascination with them but whatever!! :dunno:

As far as Billy is concerned ,I patiently wait to hear any solo effort he might do. He has an awesome voice and is the only bald man (beside Maynard w/out the wig) that does it for me. When I saw APC at PNC this past May 1 it was amazing to watch him. Where I was for Camden I really didn't get to see much of him. I had a straight eye line to Maynard and his beautiful tat and ass crack!! :pant: :cloud9:
At PNC the shadows of Billy on the wall were like watching a GOD! It was incredible. Not on purpose I'm sure but the lighting cast his shadow and it was AWESOME!!! Looking forward to new TOOL and can't wait to see what Billy can give us. Would love to hear some heavier stuff!!!

Hey, Kerri when TOOL comes around , we'll see you there!!! :jam:

billy corgan doesn't do it for ya????

Maynard is a different sort of guy no doubt but he borders on genius.......

Tool are going heavier apparently and Billy's stuff will probably also go in a similar direction, something he hasen't really being able to do with APC! rock on! :)

Dogstar 05-28-2004 01:14 PM

RIGHT ON, Kris. We are soooo there. Luvscott4ever, too. We've already decided we MUST see Tool together! I was totally mesmerized by Billy onstage. He is soooo into playing! I was looking for the DVD last night, but I couldn't find it, LOL. I have no idea where I put it :D. I cannot WAIT for Tool and Billy's solo stuff!

No, he really doesn't so much for me!! Not a real big Pumpkin fan.

Ever since Steve and I saw APC we haven't stopped talking about when TOOL comes around and how we are soo there! We are both kind of stuck with just listening to TOOL or APC lately. Can't seem to get either one of them out of the CD player. :D

Dogstar 05-28-2004 07:30 PM

Hahaha, same here, Kris. I've been obsessed for months now :D

aussiecreeder 05-28-2004 08:59 PM

lol i'm regulary listening to tool and apc but obssessed? haven't reached that stage yet...:)

i want to see billy solo a bit in his album.....

Dogstar 05-28-2004 09:18 PM

:D. I can't help it. It's true.

SCOTTSMYMAN 05-31-2004 09:32 PM

Hi, my name is Kris and I'm a TOOL/APC addict!

Kerri, totally understand the obsession!! Welcome to TOOL/APC anonymous!!

Dogstar 05-31-2004 10:55 PM

LMFAO, Kris... I listened to two boots to and from the Phillies game today. Their music is like a drug for me lately. I can't explain it.

Dunno. I haven't seen a specific date associated with talk of his CD, but I'm hoping it will be in 2005 at least! I'm REALLY curious about it, that's for sure. I just love his guitar playing. And live, he's really mesmerizing. He's sooooooo into it.

The sooner the better I say! Billy has my attention lately and like you say when he plays live, it's unbelieveable!!! The man is a ROCK GOD in my book, but that's just one person's opinion!! :D

as a songwriter he is almost without peer but we haven't seen him rip it up much if at all with apc. hopefully he does that with his solo album, i guess mid 2005 or so.

Dogstar 06-01-2004 01:09 PM

I hope there is a mix of both, to be honest. He writes some haunting stuff. He really can create a mood and his music just takes me to another plane. I absolutely LOVE the crescendo in The Hollow, right before Maynard starts singing Feed me...And live...OMG!

Mulletman 06-01-2004 01:25 PM

you people have taken my thread and taken it off topic. there'll be no more of that here.

Dogstar 06-01-2004 01:45 PM

LOL, Ok, I finally watched the Bikini Bandits thingy. I had heard of them before, but I hadn't ever seen them. I'm not quite sure what to think :D. This has to be Maynard's idea, LOL...He's a twisted man, heheheheh.

aussiecreeder 06-01-2004 08:45 PM

hehe sorry mulletman so do you really have a mullet? time to send you to the hair hairdresser i think! :D

Kerri you are right hope its got the moody aspect of APC, but its also harder yet its something removed from APC and uniquely Billy.

Mulletman 06-01-2004 10:26 PM

lol no no, i have the boy band part in the middle hair style tho.

Dogstar 06-01-2004 10:44 PM

LMAO, Mulletman!

Mulletman 06-01-2004 11:07 PM

what?

Dogstar 06-01-2004 11:51 PM

The boy band reference :D

All's I can say about this show (6/13/04)

A B S O L U T E L Y I N C R E D I B L E !!!!!

Kerri, we HAVE TO see Tool at Red Rocks if they play there when they tour!! It is the MOST AWESOME place!! I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!! We also went to Colorado Springs the night b4 and saw them there! And of course, they were AWESOME as usual!! They did The Hallow, TWICE!! I thought that was pretty strange, but, Oh Well!!
And you and Kris think YOU'RE addicted??!! Damn, I can't get that man out of my head! He's always there, day and night!! Sorry to Scott, but he's been replaced!! ;) I swear, about all I listen to is Maynard...I even made myself a cd of "The Best Of" Maynard, IMO, for walking!! If I could have, I probably would have put them all on cd, but we all know, that can't happen...lol....
Anna and I are sooo looking forward to Tool, but I don't think I can wait that long to see "The Man" again!! It wasn't so hard back in April, cuz I knew I would be seeing him again, but now, the tours over and he won't be around for probably quite a while :crying: But we will be going to as many shows as possible when they tour...I need to outdo APC, saw them 7 times this tour, all since last August...They out did Creed by 1, now I need to outdo APC with Tool and I wouldn't be surprised if that happens!! ;)

Dogstar 06-21-2004 04:07 PM

O-----M----G!!! AWESOME!!!
I knew it would rock and that you guys would have a freaken blast. I thought about you guys on my dad's b'day, hehehe. I was so wishing I could have gone again. I'm jonesin' big time for Maynard and Co.!!!! I sooooooooooo can't wait for Tool! We are so there!
