Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

I was on DC++ today, just searching for Creed stuff(basically live bootlegs that I don't have) and I came across a song called "Feel Me Tonight" supposedly by Creed. I downloaded it and listened to it. The music sounds very Creed'ish and the vocals do sound like Stapp at parts, although his voice does sound different if it is in fact by Creed. I can't really say whether or not it is, but I can say that if it is, it might be something from the early days given the lyrical content. I don't know, but I thought I'd post here and see if anyone else has heard of this song and if it is in fact by Creed. I did a lyrics search to make sure it wasn't some knockoff band and the search came up empty.

A link to it will be edited into this post once I get it uploaded on yousendit.com.

I believe it's fake but maybe Wind-Up woke up for life? haha! I doubt so!

I'll check it anyway.

Doubtful about Wind-up.

Anyway, I know I promised the link tonight but I'm away from the PC I downloaded it on so I'll try to put it up tomorrow. Even if it isn't by Creed....it's still a very catchy song.

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

you say it sounds like Stapp... but the question to figure it out is: does it sound like Mark? both style and tonewise?

titan9 03-23-2006 09:15 PM

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

It sounds very Mark'ish to me, at least based on the tone(the style is kinda hard given Mark has changed a lot since MOP to where he is today). The music has the Creed feel to it.

As for vocals, it does sound like Stapp at times.....but at other times in the song, the vocals kinda sound more, well, for lack of a better word, "grungey". You know, they sound really unpolished and rough, rougher than what I am accustomed to hearing from Mark.

If I had to say what time period it came from, I'd say the real early days. I say this because, like I said, the vocals sound rough and unpolished and the music seems to be as well.

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

I just listened to the song and to be honest I don't really think it's Creed. I think to hear more times, but I don't think it's great song. :D

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

It's kinda hard to say. I mean, I can really hear the similiarities to Stapp at times on this song. But then at other times....it sounds different.

I downloaded the song again and it was under a slightly different name: Creed - Weathered - 12 - Feel Me Tonight. So either this isn't Creed and it is being mislabeled as being from Weathered, or it is Creed and it is a recorded, yet unreleased(until apparently leaked) song from the Weathered recording session. Now I'm looking at the unreleased tracks on the Creedfeed Songbank and I noticed that there was an untitled song on there written about Mark's wife. And I'm thinking about the lyrical content of the song in question and it seems, in my mind, to fit the description of "Untitled".

I have searched up and down the net for a song that matches the title or the lyrics of this song I have downloaded. I can't find anything even remotely close. That leads me to believe that this is either an unreleased Creed song or a song by a very, very obscure band. I'm still working on getting this uploaded on yousendit, so I'll put it up when I do.

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

But I think the voice has too much of an hall or echoe effect, which I think Stapp never has so much!

Finaldecision 03-24-2006 01:54 PM

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

Well the echoe might be because it's two voices (Mark + Stapp), but it also might be that it's not them. Strange!

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

it doesn't sound like Mark at all... nor Stapp.

I don't think it's Creed.

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

If it isn't them, I wonder who it is. Like I said, I searched on google a ton and couldn't find any matching lyrics. It must be some really, really obscure band.

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

I believe the recording is too raw, it doesn't even seem to be totally done yet, it's like it needs mixing/ mastering, I don't know which.

titan9 03-24-2006 03:34 PM

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

Agreed. That's what kinda led me to believe that it might be an old Creed song that was never really finished. Who knows.

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

i listended to it, and its not stapp. i can tell.

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

It sounds nothing like Stapp. I'm surprised you'd think that was Stapp's voice.

titan9 03-24-2006 07:48 PM

Re: Anyone ever heard of "Feel Me Tonight"?

I heard some similiarities, but, upon listening to it further, I didn't find any.

I'm glad that we've come to the conclusion that it isn't a Creed song in case anyone in the future asks.

Yeah, that's true. Like I said, I searched and couldn't find a match.
