Yes, peeps, I have the full BC album in mp3 - in 192 kbit/s. (Real good quality. The same you get on the actual album).

I'll upload 'em for you!

That'd be awesome, Lith. I actually got a hold of the six tracks I have from it via a guy on WinMX. He had the whole album, but I stupidly only grabbed six of the tracks rather than the whole thing. :(

Just a note: that's not the same as album quality :) Any mp3 != album quality.

No, I disagree Steve. A mp3 file can have 64 kbit/s, or less. That sure ain't album quality. And most of the time I'm not even happy with 128 kbit/s. I only listen to 192 kbit/s, or higher.

Steve's saying 192 isn't album quality; using VBR on your mp3's would be about as close as you're gonna get. From what I understand, some of the better formats are ogg and flac (they utilize VBR, I believe).

Yes. mp3 is a lossy file format. What that means is it compresses the audio down to keep file sizes small. No matter what bitrate you set your mp3s to, they have less quality than an actual album. To keep album quality you need to use a lossless file format - as RMadd mentioned, ogg and flac are lossless formats. :)

Other than the BC mp3's,.....does anyone have a live mp3 of "Young Grow Old"?.....I'm dying to get a hold of that song live. Have they ever played it live for that matter?

Re: blue collar mp3's

They played it live many times. I uploaded one to yousendit which you can grab here:

It's got an extended intro of Stapp singing solo... this is when Stapp sounded very good, back in 1998. The show this is from is 7/3/1998 - Milwaukee, WI - Summerfest Rock Stage
