Insomnia

Wild frenzied thoughts
that live inside my head
Like fireflies sparking,
they illuminate my brain
Ideas so varied and distant
changing with frightening velocity
Cataclysmic impulses strewn
with inspired revelations
Until the drugs kick in
and turn the lights out.
