hayley 01-03-2005 01:35 AM

YOU SUCK IT'S CALLED FIZZY YOU MORON FIZZY FIZZY FIZZY

Come one, all of you MUST know it's called fizzy!

revisfoot 01-03-2005 01:39 AM

You know what's funny? Down here in Texas, it's all called "Coke." It doesn't matter if you're drinking Dr. Pepper, Sprite, or actual Coca-Cola, if you want something to drink, you'd say, "Hey, y'all wanna go grab a Coke?" Seriously!

Xterminator27 01-03-2005 01:42 AM

Its called coke everywhere

Just like facial tissues are called kleenex
just like how Bandages are called band-aids.

But as for a WACKO thing, in the NZland world of the upside-down future, they call coke, FIZZY. i mean FIZZY????

FIZZY!?!??!?!

revisfoot 01-03-2005 01:47 AM

Fizzy? Like, how we call champagne "bubbly"? That is crazy...but, hey, what can we say? Our residential New Zealander is still very cute :D

fluttergirl 01-03-2005 01:51 AM

yup, here in good ole tejas, its just coke....
all of them.....

aussiecreeder 01-03-2005 02:35 AM

yeah its a coke but all fizzy drinks should be referred to as soft drinks.

TeriB19 01-03-2005 05:43 AM

Here in New Jersey it's soda. Not pop. Not fizzy. Plain old soda.

hayley 01-03-2005 05:51 AM

Well soda makes more sence than POP. I mean POP, wtf, fizzy doesn't POP when you open it .... lol it fizzes :D Hence the fizzy ......

Muad'Dib 01-03-2005 06:05 AM

Hard one ;). I used to call them fizzy, but most people call them soft drink around here.

JulieCitySlicker 01-03-2005 09:03 AM

Soda :)

Trimontana 01-03-2005 10:23 AM

Yeah, i noticed than in a few states in America, coke, seven up or another fizzy drinks are called soda. In Europe we called soda to soda water.
I think coke is fizzy not pop

Steve 01-03-2005 12:55 PM

Soda here in WI too!

goddess_bb 01-03-2005 01:03 PM

We call it pop here in Colorado..a coke is a coke and a pepsi is a pepsi..

Do you call your shoes..sneakers or tennis shoes??

revisfoot 01-03-2005 01:33 PM

I call my shoes...shoes. lol. Right now, I'm wearing what they call "casual boots." That's what I wear most of the time. I've got a brown pair of Dr. Marten's, and a black pair of Sketchers boots. I wear them, depending on my outfit. Like, right now, I'm wearing khakis, and an American Eagle sweater, so, naturally, I'm wearing my brown boots. However, if I was wearing a pair of jeans, a black T-shirt, (or an A-shirt, AKA, your common "wife-beater"), I'd have the black boots on. It's all style. :D

As for the whole coke debate, like fluttergirl said, it's all coke in Texas.

P.S. - What part of Texas are you from? I live in Vernon, which is about 45 min. west of Wichita Falls. :)

Also, for those who are interested...distance, in Texas, is not measured in miles or kilometers. No, it's measured in...TIME. As in, "I live about 10 MINUTES north of town." Can you believe that?!
