Promotion of Alterbridgerocks.com

Hey, was just thinking about how Steve is in the process of getting an AB version of creedfeed going...

I'd really like to see that site as being the preeminent, unofficial AB site on the Internet (I'm sure Steve would too). It's graphically and technologically superior to anything out there, hands down. I think you have a great window of opportunity, Steve, to make alterbridgerocks.com stand out.

Now is the time to start promoting it and trying to get Michael/Mark to join up. Let me know if I can do anything to help in that effort. Perhaps all us creedfeeders can get on the alterbridgeband.net forum and sing the praises of abrocks.com (once the msg brd is functional, of course)? Dunno what else we can do... ideas?

please don't go over there and start up a bunch of non-sense threads about steve's website.....it's already muddled up enough with the lack of ab updates (because of the album not being out yet, not cause michael, denise, or mark himself aren't updating us over there...cause they are doing a great job at it). i don't mean any kind of disrespect with this post, just don't want a bunch of you guys to sign-up over there just to promote steve's site and then never posting again....it's kinda a close knit group over there right now.

I would agree it's a close knit group, but it's not exclusive. Anyone is welcome to join. I also agree that the owners of the board would hope that people would join with the intent to actually participate. Not just to advertise someone else's board.

I'll check out Steve's AB board once it's up. Looking forward to it.

yeah fair enough, there are many from here that are already over at alterbridgeband and its the feeders who i guess will be at steve's ab board intially. hopefully at least one of the ab board's can attract more of the mayfield fans and those who weren't into creed or mf4 but like the stuff they are hearing on the radio or what they downloaded.

I appreciate all the help from whoever would want to help. But let's not start spamming other message boards about the forum. Not only does is make you look like a spammer, but it can also ruin the reputation of myself and my site (our forums). Besides, we wouldn't want tons of people coming here and posting ads for the other AB forum, would we?

A good way to help is to attach the URL to the site and/or forum to all e-mails you send out (like in a signature). Tell your friends about the site, in person or through the Internet. Get people to come, sign up and be active.

The best thing everyone can do is simply stay active on the forums. Keeping content fresh and posting every day makes the forums appear to be active and will make others want to join in.

BTW, www.alterbridgerocks.com/community/ is now up and running, although I'm still making some changes.

Very cool Steve! Heading there now......

guitarchitect 05-25-2004 02:03 PM

yeah spamming probably just annoy people. steve's doing a great job anyway and seeing as the other post you made about the first single came from over there i hope you weren't suggesting of plugging the new board over ours at alterbridgeband.net.
i'm sure when there are more sites around that are fully up and running we will adds links to the site etc anyway and keep a good relationship between sites.
thanks
dan.

I think this is what I meant, but just couldn't find the words for it...it was like 2am sorry. Like I said before I didn't mean to offend anyone and on a side note, I didn't mean to make it sound like I thought it was exclusive over there....so I apologize for any confusion or if I pissed anyone off.

lol. u think?
it's true though. there's no need for competition between us. and then we can share info (with thanks and credit of course).

Steve 05-25-2004 03:48 PM

It's better to be friendly and share than to be all alone and steal :)

I made that up just now!

RockGoddess 05-25-2004 03:52 PM

I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy inside! LOL

Seriously, there really is no need for competition. It's all good, and it's all about Alter Bridge!

luvin monti 05-25-2004 05:50 PM

Indeed!!! :o
