Mark and Flip Interview on TRL

I have heard that MTV will be airing portions of the interview with Flip and Mark on TRL at 5:00 eastern time. I don't know how much of it they will do and you know MTV, it could change, but I thought I'd give a heads up nonetheless.

Thanks, Michael.

Thanks a lot Michael and thanks for the updates over the past few months.

Thanks for the post. Can't tell you how much I HATE MTV. I put it on this morning waiting for MTV Music News to come on, and had to sit through endless nonsensical videos, hip hop crap, Brittney Spears and more until the FINALLY had Music News on at 11:55 a.m. Turned out to be a story on Hulk Hogan's daughter's big break in the music business. Whooptee friggin dooooo!! So I still haven't even seen the clip on this news. I'll be tuned into TRL (yuk) tonight though.

****as an aside note, I did not sit in front of my tv all morning watching, I had it on while doing other things, and it was on at the gym where I saw it.

Did anyone see this? I only caught the first 15 minutes of it.

Steve 06-04-2004 06:29 PM

Just a note: I sat in front of the TV to catch this interview, starting at 4:00pm CST. Since I don't care for rap music (which is what is mostly played on TRL) I flipped between that and "while you were out" makeovers on Oprah (lol). They finally got to MTV News around 45 minutes into the show and then showed a really short clip of Mark talking which was also available to view on the MTV website. It sucked. MTV could have shown a bit more instead of talking with Ludacris about nothing. I shoud have expected this, but I thought maybe MTV would actually change for once and show something more. Oh well...

I'm glad I didn't stick around for that then, I've already seen the clips on MTV.com. Thanks for the info so I don't waste my time trying to catch it!

Steve 06-04-2004 06:35 PM

Oh and by the way when I said it sucked, I was referring to the amount of stuff MTV showed, not Mark talking or anything. I was hoping they'd show a little more of the interview instead of a really short clip.

Michael made a post over at CreedPit:

Sorry about only the little bit of news everyone. I was under the impression they were going to do the whole interview. Maybe on the weekend edition of news. I must say I was not happy watching Mark squirm in that one segment. He looked pretty uncomfortable and I hope you all understand if he was not completely honest in that part. Worrying about 20 lawyers crawling up your butt will do that to you.

I just wanna throw my 2 cents in about how bad MTV sucks, Creed was a huge band, and they won't report squat on them, just like when Layne Staley died they barely did 5 seconds on it. They divide all their attention on artist's (are they really artist's?) who don't even play instruments. The whole channel sucks the big one! Bring back the rock!

TeriB19 06-04-2004 07:12 PM

Yes, all that may be so, but THANK GOD we got to see Ludacris and the loser from American Idol! God what would we have done if we didn't see them and Qaddus (wtf kind of name is that anyway?). MTV sucks. Period. Could that segment of the interview BE any shorter?? (**said in my best Chandler Bing impression)

hayley 06-04-2004 07:25 PM

And I thought it sucked not having MTV...obviously I was wrong :D

You don't want to know. In my opinion it was just Michael stirring up trouble. Michael didn't have to make that comment.

Let's just let this whole thing rest in peace and let Scott get on with his life.

BTW- MTV always does their news segments at 50 mintues past the hour.

Steve, was that his whole post? Since I didn't get to see it, I'm not sure to what segment he is referring. I have a guess, but still :D.

Bridge of Clay 06-04-2004 08:30 PM

I asked because I want to know. What did he say?

If you don't wanna say, don't... someone else will.

In my opinion too ...

Steve 06-04-2004 08:49 PM

Yes that was his whole post. Go to the MTV news article - view the two clips on their site. I think he's referring to the first clip, which was shown on MTV.

Dogstar 06-04-2004 09:02 PM

:(...bummuh...I can't watch video...damn dial-up

Shadow 06-04-2004 09:26 PM

Dogstar, in the clip they showed John Norris ask Mark and Flip if substance abuse had anything to do with it. Mark basically said "like I said before we really didn't speak so I don't know what he was doing with his personal time." He said Scott was becoming more distant and doing things they didn't approve of. Then Mark said that they really still don't know what happened with Chicago.

I apologize for not knowing it word for word and I already deleted it off of the Tivo.

Regardless of what happened, I'll be behind Scott 100%.

Dogstar 06-04-2004 10:00 PM

Thanks, Shadow...I gotta get me a cable modem :D. I wasn't trying to stir up any crap...just wanted to know...thanks.

Bridge of Clay 06-04-2004 10:32 PM

sure, if you still are a Creed Fan, you should support Stapp.

I like the guy too and I won't diss him because of this or that.
