OUTSTANDING!! They weren't there, were they?

Nope, they weren't. It was presented in an awsome way. They didn't even announce the contenders or what the award was for. Mrs. Osbourne was up there with Justin and their little dog, and they showed the "winners of this award the past 30 yrs", then she threw the award down and said, "it's creed" like DUH! It was great. I loved it.

Cool. How far into the show was it announced? I didn't get finished with the kids bedtime routine until around 8:30.

Just a matter of minutes before Debs posted. I would say 10 minutes prior. I read on ABC.com that the other they are up for is Alternative Group or something. I am not sure if that has been presented yet, I tuned in late. The one they already won, they were up against Linkin Park and Nickelback, the Alternative is up against Linkin Park and System of a Down so I think they will walk the dog on that one.

I have just noticed that we are getting to see the AMA's at midnight on Sunday. I will have to tape it.

You sure will. It's awesome! I wish I would have to get that presentation on tape. It was priceless.

it was kinda funny how it was announced Sharon said " I don't need to look at this (meaning the envelope) It's CREED :D

They announced as the show was going off that Creed also won for best alternative band. Tat's two awards tonight.

Probably because they remain on a well-deserved break.

Just to clarify ...

Sharon Osbourne didn't say she didn't need to look [at the envelope]. She said she already looked ... so she just blurted it out. She goofed and had opened it too early. That's why they were laughing ... because it was a mistake so she just went with it. It was pretty funny, though.

Although, if I was a group that was nominated and wasn't recognized by at least being announced, I probably wouldn't have thought it was that funny. Or if they didn't announce the nominees and Creed didn't win.

Oh well ... they did ... and it was funny!

Geez, I kind of wish I had watched it. DOH!

Aw, DAMN!!! I had watched a little part of the AMA's, but in the part I watched, Creed was nominated but didn't win! Plus I saw on the 30th anniversary thing, Destiny's Child chorusing "Human Clay, Creed" from a few years back. But I didn't get to hear the best part of the whole show--Creed winning! Damn damn damn damn damn...alright, I'll stop.
But creedfan...3 awards in two nights? What else did they win?

They tied on Sunday night at the People's choice award for the Favorite Musical Group with the Dixie Chicks and at the AMAs, they won for Best Rock Group and Best Alternative Rock Performance (not sure if those are the exact titles of the awards or not). Hope this is the info you wanted to know, Redeemer.:)

Yeah, thanks, creedfan. This is good for me to hear, that they're getting recognition for all their hard work and dedication. I was beginning to fear that ppl were throwing Creed by the wayside (not sure if that is the correct expression or not...:confused: ) and dismissing them as, well, a shitty band or something. I mean, ppl I hang out with hate Creed for what I'm sure is the shallowest of reasons, and I was beginning to think that everyone except me hated Creed. Well, I'm rambling, but congrats, Stapp and Co., for the awards!!!
