Ex smoker here - horrible to quit - I quit because my husband - then boyfriend - asked me to stop because he didn't like to kiss me with ashtray breath - oh and all the health reasons too -

Yeah kissing someone who has just had a smoke is disgusting :vomit:

True Teri, that sucks. It makes me really mad because I know that my mum will most likely be smoking until she is at a very old age, there is no way she is going to stop now, she just relies on that damn tobacco so much.

I hate to see people talk like that, you know? I really hate it and it gets me so sad. Sometimes people have to shut their mouths...:(

I'm an x-smoker too. I started smoking when I was 14 and quit when I was 26. I did for my grandma. She died the day after Christmas in 1998 and she always wanted me to quit. So, as the last thing I could do for her was to quit! I've been smoke free for 5 years! Steve quit with me too and he ahd been smoking even longer! It was hard but we did it and even convinced his mom to quit!

Yeah. Sorry. But I just don't like to see people talk so negative, but sorry again. :)

And, good on you SCOTTSMYMAN! I'm sure your Grandma would be very proud of you. :)

I'm also very very proud of all the X-smokers!

I've smoked for 21 years from my 15th until my 36th... which is my age right now! Yeah... I haven't smoked for almost 5 months now... and it's still very hard! In times of stress the first thing on my mind is: I need a cigarette!

This is a promiss I made to my youngest son... and I'm gonna keep that promiss!!!!!!! You bet!
