I believe they signed a 7 record deal, but I have no proof to back that up. Just something I remember from a long time ago.

^Could be...although when the guys bought out their contract it could've been changed when they re-signed for this Reunion.

I don't know much about the music business but having a 7 record deal seems a bit excessive imo.

"Greatest Hits" was a way for Wind-up to make money while Creed was taking their so called break. I dont consider it a 4th album. Creed never bought out their contract from Wind-Up, that was Alter Bridge. If you all recall the guys were pre-recording for their 4th album before the broke up. Anyway, maybe we will see some of that material on "Full Circle".

While I would like to think there would material from what they were recording im almost positive what they recorded was used for One Day Remains and The Dreat Divide...If you listen to One day you could swear it sounds like creed at times on the album...especially "Open Your Eyes"...

There is some simularities between "Open Your Eyes" and Creed but no way in hell can Scott come close to hitting the notes Myles hit on that album. Plus Mark had alot more freedom to do what he wanted, I think the overall album had no link to Creed unreleased material on it. Now Stapps solo album was Creed lite, it sounded like a shitty garage Creed Cover band made an album.

Oh come on TGD wasn't that bad of an album.

I know we've touched on this over and over, but the fourth album was the best of, if I'm not mistaken.
To me, going to a concert where the fans don't know the songs is like standing in line at a funeral. No one is going to get into it and want to come back if they aren't totally in to the performance. Rrrrr!
So here's where I'm at: Is this just a test to put their feelers out to see if Creed can still make it? The concert does well or the album does well, and then they will bring Creed back again? Because if not, what's the use of buying the album? Don't get me wrong, I will, but 9/10 I but an album so I can sing along at the concerts. It seems pointless!

I don't see anything wrong with TGD, I can't understand why people don't like it.

I like Creed, Scott Stapp & Alter bridge,

I am a guitar player and a huge tremonti fan.

But their is something that Scott Stapp does that I like, the way he writes and what he comes up with that I cannnot explain because my favourite band is creed.

I liked the Great Divide, yeah some songs weren't that great
but surround me, justify, broken, you will soar, the great divide, sublime
for me where good songs.

I appreciated the quality musically of alter bridge but I don't find myself wanting to listen to songs again and again and again like creed and actually some on the great divide.

So I am entitled to my opinion and as a huge tremonti fan a massive creed fan, a good guitar player I actually prefered the great divide to any alter bridge album overall (but i still liked Alter Bridge)

I liked TGD, not as much as Creed, but I liked it.

Thats why we are here, to voice our opinions. I own Great Divide and to me it seemed as if Scotts voice was tired and worn out..His solo album was to me like he was singing about the "the great divide"(breaking up of Creed) and how how he was getting over it, moving on yet all his songs sounded like Creed lite. Hey if you loved his album thats cool their is nothing wrong with that, I will take any Creed album or Alter Bridge album over TGD

Ill have to totally disagree with you for several reasons...One Day Remains was heavily influenced by Creeds music and "Open your Eyes" is just one example..Plus the album was mixed by windup which gave it more of a Creed sound...The biggest difference was Myles voice which has higher range than Stapps Baritone and Myles ability to play guitar which led to longer, more technical solos that were not possible in the Creed format...I think with Blackbird they shed that creed sound and vibe and reinvented themselves as I cannot compare much on Blackbird to any Creed CD...In my Opinon Blackbird was a rebirth away from Wind up's grotesque commericialism over quality that began after the release of Human Clay and remains today...Look how good of a band Seether is and Windup is having them do covers of George Micheal...Give me a break...not a bad cover but come on windup originality please...

X-I thought the first 2-3 songs on TGD were very straining on Stapp's voice. I remember making that "oh don't go there" face when I first heard it. His family even thought the Reach Out shouldn't have been on the album. When I went to the AOL session for Creed now, I was so surprised how much better his voice is sounding. Hopefully when I see them, he will be well oiled (and not in a Chicago 2002 way);)
