You're not actually buying any of this are you SD? It really wasn't all that good. I don't really know why we made such a big deal out of it. I mean....well......NO, DAMMIT IT WAS THE BEST!!! I wish you had been there!! I should've left the phone on all night so you could be there with us via Verizon.

Mr.CreedFreakTN 01-20-2003 10:30 PM

We were in line and saw all the fire trucjks coming and we heard there was a gas leak too, then we saw them going into the subway, we were told there was a fire there.

TeriB19 01-20-2003 10:32 PM

I guess we were so concerned with getting our butts in the door that we weren't even looking to see what was going on behind us. Glad it didn't turn out to be anything serious.

Hey, all you NYE concert goers!! Was it my imagination or did Three Doors Down's drummer kick major butt on a solo close to the end of their set? I remember him just beating the crap out of the drums with arms and legs flying. The Press of Atlantic City has a concert review (they just played the Taj Mahal Casino last night) and this is what the reviewer said:

<i>"Lead singer Brad Arnold's voice, which bears a remarkable resemblance to Matchbox Twenty's Rob Thomas, was the highlight of the show. Clearly the most talented in the less than stellar ensemble, which was painfully obvious in Daniel Adair's unremarkable drum solo toward the end of the show, Arnold seemed to hit every note with feeling and precision."</i>

I'm sorry, but I think this guys a whack job. I don't know how they were at the Taj, but if that drum solo was anything like the drum solo Adair did NYE at the Spectrum, that reviewer ought to hang it up, pack it in and call it a day. They were AWESOME that night.

Dogstar 01-20-2003 11:34 PM

Wow, I thought the drummer kicked major a** in Philly. I do remember a biatchin' solo! Maybe he was having a bad night at the Taj.

Sheila63 01-21-2003 01:19 PM

I thought they were totally awesome too!! I do remember the drum solo as well because my friend commented to me about what a fantastic job he did and I totally agreed with her. I even went out a few days after the concert and got their CD. That's how great I thought they were.

My friend and I noticed all the fire trucks that were there that night too and we were wondering what was going on. I'm glad everything worked out okay for everyone because that was my first Creed concert and I didn't want anything to spoil it and thankfully nothing did!!! It was the best NYE ever!!!!:dancing:

LOL......I REALLY wish you could have been there! You and Karen...I can't wait until Orlando!

souldancer 01-21-2003 02:33 PM

Can't wait for Orlando either - to see you crazy Muskateers again! :D

Kim V. 01-21-2003 03:50 PM

Unless he had an off night at the Taj, the drummer from 3DD was amazing!! The drums should have had smoke coming off of them (Like Tremonti's guitar that night!) he was so good. Never believe what reviewers of any kind have to say (that includes movies). Most of the time, if they didn't give something a good review, I enjoy it; when they say something's a sure hit, I usually hate it!! PEACE...

LOVE ONE ANOTHER! -- Scott Stapp :D

creeder 01-22-2003 03:44 PM

Like i have said here before!!! Creed will always be the best!!!

SCOTTSMYMAN 01-22-2003 10:21 PM

This is my first post and I also was at the NYE concert and it was AWESOME!!!! My husband and I had really great seats. Not in the pit but stage side. Everyone was on top of their game that night. 3DD has got a new fan. Scott was TERRIFIC. I'm sorry that his Chicago show was sooo bad but he knew what he was doing that night. It's in my top five list of the amazing things that I have experienced in life. I can't wait till they come back. :band:

TeriB19 01-22-2003 10:26 PM

Hey SCOTTSYOURMAN!! Welcome to Creedfeed!! This is the best damn Creed bb on the 'net. Hope you like it here. And you are right, that was the best concert I've EVER been to. Absolutely amazing. I relive it nightly in my head, Ode, the countdown, Auld Lang Syne, the confetti cannons. Just too awesome.

Kim V. 01-22-2003 11:38 PM

TeriB, I too relive that concert every day. When I hear some of the songs they did on a CD, I remember stuff like where Scott was when he sang this part, etc., or Mark jamming.... Scott singing through tears during WAWO; the "oneness" of the whole crowd during "One". But I still get chills whenever I pop in Weathered, and of course , Bullets is first, and I just remember the chills I got when it started all dark, you just see the silhouettes of the guys, the music starts, and then Scott eerily saying.. "Walking around I hear the sounds......" ; then the big BOOM! of pyro right after he says "I THINK THEY SHOOT 'CAUSE THEY WANT IT!".... Talk about goosebumps!! Ah, the memories..... :D
