Hayley, I don't have anything else to add because everyone else said it so well. I just wanted to say that you're not an idiot for following your heart. Unfortunately, sometimes when we do that, we get hurt. You're a wonderful young woman with a lot to offer the right guy.:)

Hayley, I'm so sorry you're going through this. He doesn't realize what a loss on his part it is; you're a wonderful, smart, witty girl, with a big heart. Someday, some great guy will realize that. But like everyone said (especially loved Teri's analogy!), you're going to go through some crap to get to that point, and yes, each experience teaches you something new - usually the toughest life lessons are the ones that make you the strongest. At least you found all this out before you "gave yourself" to him, if you know what I mean. That would have been even more devastating! You're young, have fun with friends and enjoy your teen years; they go by so quickly! Remember, to appreciate the mountain top, you've got to get through the valleys. Yes, I do know what you mean. :o I would have been pretty devestated if that did happen, but I can't dwell on those things, I have promised to myself that I won't think of the "What if's", or regrettings things that have happened. I cared for him and loved him, he chucked it back at me for someone else, so I will wait until someone wants my love, because I do have a lot to give.

Nah, he wasn't the scum of the earth, but he was pretty low for breaking up with me like that.

But, I'm over it now, my friends have told me that I don't need him and I will find someone better. He obviously wasn't worth it, love is a tough thing to deal with, but you guys are right, the things you experiance make you more stronger.
