(1) Hey guys,...I'm new here. Just thought I'd say how much I love AB and "In Loving Memory".....it rocks!!!
(2) (Review of TGD) I would give it a four out of ten. It in no way compares to ODR. Myles Kennedy has such phenominal vocal range....it's awesome live!!!!!!
(3) How can I hear "Ahavo Rabo Taco Salad?".....Love AB and would love to hear something new? For that matter,..is there any other new songs out by AB that weren't on ODR?

Not only has his opinion drastically changed, but the syntax as well. Hmm...something is afoot.

I just start off with sarcasm to get in the mix :naughty: ......then I tell it like it is. Although I must admit,...I actually bought ODR on its first release date  ,...gave it one spin :wtf: ,.... regurgitated :vomit: ,..... laughed my ass off :D ,.... and let it settle in the very bottom of my CD collection. :dancing:

ah, and here I thought that it simply meant that your opinion has no tangible value...

yeah, and Stapp is so self-absorbed that he COULDN'T write about anything BUT himself, because, in his world, nothing else exists...

no, not really,.....we were actually talking about "writing inspirations",....not "impersonations",...so,...let's see,....write about your relationship with God,...or,...a Val Kilmer movie? Ah man,..this is a close one!

Vliegs 12-13-2005 09:39 PM

Well the image he's been PORTRAYING lately as far as his relationship with God has seemed to be more along the lines of hypocrisy.

Last I looked, Scott was a HUMAN,...therefore being falliable and "born in sin" as we all are,.....even the Pope screws up from day to day. Because Stapp speaks so Highly of his relationship w/ God, then he is not granted any slack, correct?

Vliegs 12-13-2005 09:50 PM

The good ole "he's only a human and has faults just like everybody else" argument. I don't deny that, hell I've got a ton of problems too that I freely admit to.

No, the fact that Scott speaks highly of his relationship with God is just fine with me. The fact that he expounds constantly in interviews on how he LIVES such a good Christian life, then goes on with his usual (and current) stunts/actions which immediately gainsay the lifestyle he'd just been preaching about is the problem.

provide a quote where he says that he "lives a good christian life",....its people like you that put him on that level of expectation whenever he mentions the word "God".

oh, I'm sorry...was he thinking about his relationship with God when he got into that fight with 311? Was he thinking about his relationship with God (or his fiancee, for that matter) when he was drunk and hitting on Howard Stern's girlfriend on the Casino Cinema? Was he thinking about how God is going to help his SON deal with the mistakes of his FATHER?

Vliegs 12-13-2005 10:24 PM

Well here's the first thing that came up when I googled stapp interviews.

Christian Music News Interview

Quote:

"That's what's different this time around, I've stepped back into the arena of faith, of faith in Christ,"

"I'm not just looking at God as a way out of a jam; I've embraced being a Christian as what shapes my values, my worldview, my morals. My commitment to Christ is what establishes my priorities, how I will raise my son, my whole person."

I've yet to dig through the rest of his interviews.
