Hey there Rune. We haven't really met. Welcome to CreedFeed. I see you've made yourself at home, and the world is just as it should be here. Speaking of recording equipment, I was wondering if any of you can give me any suggestions. I have a PC and I want to record myself reading a book and then burn it onto a CD that can be copied. It is a very long story, and will likely take up two CD's. I do not need any visual capabilities (Although it would be cool to get a document file on there somewhere). The trick is this, I want to have chapters, like on a DVD. Or tracks so that the listener can access any chapter instantly. What do you think?

Leader of Men 05-13-2003 05:22 PM

That would be easy

Mulletman 05-15-2003 04:05 PM

wow..... you people suck... lol

i have sound blaster audigy 2 sound card
Pro Tools Pro
Cool Edit Pro
theres an adapter that goes on the end of your instrument cable (very cheap)
just plug that into the Audio-In port and hit record on yer software.

just make sure to select Audio-In Line on yer mic settings, otherwise nothing gets recorded!

It doesn't work on XP, that is the only problem I have :(

Marty 05-20-2003 08:55 AM

Rune:
How were you able to get where you could play guitar and sing at the same time? I have trouble talking while playing, and I've been playing since last August.

1. you can buy it
2. you can steal it
3. piracte it

up to you...

Mulletman 05-20-2003 07:29 PM

one more thing, you can get it to run on XP using the compatability mode feature.

hide_tremonti 05-21-2003 03:10 AM

Dudeguydude, you have to know what you're playing very well, to the point where you don't have to think about what you're playing. You will get there if you keep practicing. (I had that problem too when I tried to sing). :D

Marty 05-21-2003 09:04 AM

Okay. Well summer is coming, time for lots of practice!

Edit: Thanks!

I used to not be able to, but what definetly helped me was playing with the music in the backround and singing to it... then turn the music down lower and lower... until you dont need it.
