well, ive done about every drug known to man in my past, besides heroine!! Drugs are BAD news. I've seen people I care about get hooked and it destroys lives. Weed my not seem harmful BUT one joint is like smoking 4 cigs!!!! Who wants to blacken your lungs??? Plus my brother is a pot head and has gotten no where in life because of it!! He smokes it everyday of his life and he is such a burnout because of it, it robs you of energy and zest for life. I'm not gonna argue with anyone about it, i'm 36 and I've seen pot destroy MANY lives. Occasionally, maybe ok, but occasionally becomes weekends, weekends becomes daily. It does happen, not to everyone, no, But to some , yes. I've seen it with my own eyes to many people.
The meth craze in this country is also soooo very very bad. My brother in-laws both are hooked on it. That stuff is poison!!!

yeah drugs really do mess you up. I remember like 3 or 4 months ago, tow of my guy frineds got hooked on heroine and weed. I cared about them a lot and I have to admit that I did cry for them because it was really messing them up. Now thankfully they are alright because they got help. :)

goddess_bb 05-02-2003 11:53 PM

Marlsy,
You made some very valid points and I don't want to argue..but alcohol does the same thing and it is legal..I feel like we should legalize it becasue of all the things that hemp can be made into and actually the plant they harvest does not have enough THC to do any good...actually writting a speech on it....

goddess_bb 05-02-2003 11:54 PM

I totally agree. But people get addicted in same way to alcohol. Im just trying to prove that weed is better than booze.

marlsy 05-03-2003 11:35 AM

yes they do both get addicted in the same way. In my opinion they are both bad in excess. I drink on occasion, I don't see anything wrong with even smoking a joint on occasion, me personally, I don't like the feeling of being high. As for weed becoming legal? I'm not really for it. I don't want to think of my kids becoming pot heads in the future and it being legal. Just as I don't want to see them become alcoholics. At least if they become pot heads I can kick their ass and can tell them they are breaking the law. LOL I don't ever want to see the day when your out in public and you look around and see people bonging it out in the open!!! ewwwwwwww!

JulieCitySlicker 05-03-2003 11:56 AM

I think that legalizing it may make it less popular. Kids won't do it anymore cuz they will lose the thrill of getting caught and doing it because its illegal. I'm not for legalizing it in any means though. I just could not imagine going into a store and seeing weed on the shelf:rolleyes:I think it will either slow down the use of weed or it will just make everyone burnouts:angel:

That's the key phrase. Moderation in all things.

I dissagree -- if legalized weed will become cheaper. I would start smoking much more if its legal lol.
