Disclaimer: I don't wish for this post to sound like i am pissed about the album or that I don't like the album, I LOVE THE ALBUM.. I just think there should could be somethings to improve on.

I wish Brian would write some really cool bass lines instead of just going with the same part as tremonti. I want him to stand out like he did in My own prison, i want to see something shine out. I know he is good i just want to hear him do something badass.

*End rant

Agreed wholeheartedly, thats the only thing i dont like about the album, it's about the sme bass and weathered, and of course mark did that.

I really admire Bryan as a bassist. I agree and i woulkd like to see Bryan giving a surprise to all those who at that time he was sucked from Creed he was over forever. I believe he has talent enough to surprise all us in next album.

COME ON BRYAN!!!!

Yeah, I agree, cos Marshall is really good about changing it up live, so I would love to hear him stand out a little on the next album, maybe some Steve Harris type stuff...though I will say this, there are some songs that Brian really does stand out on, like ODR...the rhythm sounds so busy, and it's Brian that's making it sound that way, cos Flip isn't really slamming like on Metalingus, it's Brian that is driving ODR along just as much as Mark...IMHO...

Actually Mark wrote all the bass lines for ODR. Brian had input later, though.

this is probably the main reason why the bass lines are not as good as MOP or HC. tremonti is a gun guitarist but his bass lines seem like they are fairly straight-forward. brian came in fairly late so that would explain why mark wrote most of the bass lines. the second album will be even better than the first cause i think it will be heavier and brian and mark will have more of an involvement.

So hopefully Brian will write his own lines on the next album. I love Tremonti to death, but he is no bassist.....
