What a shame
Will this affect Stapp's solo Cd?

Wow! That's really too bad. Thanks for the link, Steve. I have to say I actually like the Tea Party's older stuff better than Seven Circles, which I bought as an import a month or so ago. I have Edges of Twilight, which is amazing, and Transmission, also a great listen. I thought Seven Cirlces was fairly boring, to be honest. Pleasant enough, but a little too cookie-cutter for me. I kind of like that world-instrumentation flavor they were talking about in the article. I have to say if it wasn't for Scott's work with them, I wouldn't have known about them. I really like them a lot.

Thanks so much, Steve, for this link.

Wow.

I don't know what to say. I mean, I'm glad that the Tea Party are getting some recognition here in the States, but it does blow anus that the Stapp colaboration didn't work out. I guess there were just too many chiefs and no indians. It all will work out in the end, though. We get the Tea Party here in the states, and we get a Stapp CD in Feb/March.

Go America

Wow. The Calgary Sun. That's the paper Bret 'The Hitman' Hart writes articles for.

I mean... dude that sucks. Thanks for the link. It's amazing they just cut it off like that. I really hope this doesn't affect the release of his album.

H-D :pimp:

Quite honestly, this doesn't strike me as terrible news. I really didn't like the original version of Relearn Love either. Here's hoping that the Lenny Kravitz rumor holds water.

i wouldn't much wanna see Lenny either... not a huge fan o' his

this may delay the release of chinese democracy even further! ;)
no seriously this is really bad news as i like the tea party and the collaboration could have being really good. obviously stapp has to work out some stuff in his professional life.

how good is the new G N' R album gonna be anyway? i like 'em and all, but it's just not the same w/ only axl crooning, no slash or no one else. it's like if stapp were to hire a few guys & go touring as Creed and release an album and all

I'm really worried about the way Stapp is going. Seems like he is losted somewere in the middle of this. I don't believe he is working full time in this album cause we didn't hear nothing new for a long time.
Look's like all the there's someone in trouble with him...I'm a Stapp fan but I'm very sad about the way things going...I hope he gives something new and good soon and prove that my worries are wrong.

Please don't be worried about Scott. He is just fine....really:) :)

I'm looking forward to his solo CD so he can put so many rumors to rest. His radio tour was a success and he looked great and he sounded very happy.

Shadow, if you know something we don't, please enlighten us, or don't post such statements as fact. Thanks. Given that last article, the questions about his solo work are bound to arise.

as kerri said you may want to say why you are so confident about that. if one of his better friends in jeff martin (and band-mate of sorts) saids such things in public, i am not going to ignore that and pretend everything is just fine.

Exactly Bear, now we know it's not just a conspiracy among his former band members to bring him down. He seems to be bringing himself down all by himself.

And Shadow, I agree with Kerri. If you've got something concrete, please share. Otherwise, don't post inuendo.

it was stupid to allege that his former bandmates were trying to bring his down in the first place. why would they do such a thing? they wouldn't have left if there wasen't a reason to and they have their own lives and careers to look after without trying to harm someone elses, particulary someone who was at one stage on of their best friends in life.

anyhow its a shame the project with the tea party has ended, but i hope scott can get back on track and give us a great album next year.

Yeah, I just hope this doesn't push back the solo stuff too far. I'm jonesin' to hear something from the man.

Well I have not been on this board since it first started and it was a fun place to be back then!! I just got a new computer so I am just checking things out...a lot of good reading on here but I felt the need to say something. I have been involved in the music industry all of my life and ya know...SO what if Scott has issues, or demons or baggage?? I do not know of too many people who don't have some kind of issues in there life ya know?? He is a human being. I was Jack Russell's (great white) personal assistant for years and it makes me sad for Scott. I am also a Christian and that is not an easy walk and it has a lot of battles that go with it. I don't want anyone here to get mad at me. I just think he is human like the rest of us.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!!

My take on the article was that according to The Tea Party guys is that Stapp doesn't have the "normal baggage" that most people have, but his is much worse. They would rather further their careers without bringing in all that extra stuff surrounded with Stapp. Again, that is just my interpretation of it.

Livetodream, yes, people do indeed have issues, and no one was implying the man wasn't human. I'm just bummed that things with the Tea Party didn't work out, and I hope this doesn't delay his solo release.

now he's had tremonti and jeff martin walk away does he want any other gun guitarists and songwriters to come and go? please scott the music world needs you out there with that quality behind you.
