A friend of mine, whom I've known since I was a sophomore in high school, passed away yesterday night after being in a traffic accident. While driving home, his car was hit by another which was drag racing a third car. There's a short news article here:

Please keep my friend and his family in your prayers.

Man, that really sucks. I'm sorry buddy. Maybe that's one reason why drag racing is illegal. :( He and his family will be in my prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear this Steve :(
I'll definitely be praying for you and your friend's family! It stinks that there are people that do stupid stuff like that and don't care to think about what the outcome can bring!

Man, that sucks. I'll keep his family and you in my prayers. One thing about this world that really sucks is it seems like other people do stupid things, and instead of that person getting punished for doing something wrong, it's those around him. Keep your head up, don't let it get you down too bad. Hopefully your friend made it to a better place. :hugs:

I wanted to add a little prayer as well. Caught it on the news, what a horrible price to pay for some fun. I'm very sorry for your loss, Steve.

Oh Steve, I'm so sorry that you and this man's family have to live through this nightmare.

Life cut short seems to have no meaning or reason, however the world will learn from your friend's death. Others will live on with the knowledge of this experience, and refrain from this sort of "sport". In his tragic death he will teach others.

Never doubt that he lives on.

Consider it done, Steve. I'm so sorry for your loss. You'll be in my prayers, too. :hugs:
