So what is the meaning of the crest then?

So now that the band is done, will they or won't they define the meaning of the "crest." Seeing as how it's tattooed on my body, I'd like to know what it means someday. What do you guys think it is?

It was the design on a belt buckle. This was discussed by members of CreedPit and Jeff Hanson last Friday.

I thought Stapp had said that he had the belt buckle made to look like the crest? Anyway, it's just a design to me. Keep in mind, not everything means something.

No, there actually is a hidden meaning. If you go back to articles about Creed in different magazines, they say there is a hidden meaning. It has something to do with an Indian symbol. It possibly means peace. There is also a website that a guy has that tells the research he's done on it. It's not just a symbol for the band. It did signify something.

Yes ... I remember that too. It also talked about all the links to the hidden messages found on the album covers and something to do with the time on the clocks on Human Clay.

Creed actually had a game they made up, somewhat of a maze, you had to find clues that were hidden in different places to advance. Let me see if I can find that site.

It's not an Aztec compass but for now we'll keep it to ourselves and give fans bits and pieces. When we see it permanently inked on, seeing that crest and Creed on your body. I have Creed on my body, and it's not necessarily saying you believe that the band is so great - but you're inking on your body a forever reminder of Creed - something you believe in. You may have gotten the idea initially from hearing our music and being in Creed, but I think at the end of the day it's not about the band, it's about permanently inking on your body a reminder of something you truly believe in, something personal within.

Yeh it was in the Guitar magazine, CREEDS GREATEST MYSTERY, its all in there... it is about a cave symbol or somehting ...

stapp had a belt buckle with a simpler version of it....they just designed some more to it and such. the belt buckle was an indian design though.

Where is that going to be? Will you get a chance to be up close and personal with them? I have seen them many times and haven't been able to get close at all. Be gentle in your approach so not to offend. I don't think Mark is too keen on Creed at all.
I seen them last week in FL. I hope their performance is better for you. I was disappointed :(

if i had to guess, i'd say the crest might have been something stapp contributed in some way, and he seems pretty guarded about alot of that "secret" stuff ("hidden" voices in certain songs, etc.), so I imagine that if Flip, Tru, or Brian knows what it means, they'd be better to approach.

i remember when i went to the concert last january, when me and a buddy were standing outside waiting in line to meet them after the show, there was some dude who came up across the street and, altho i didn't hear what he had to say, the way he walked off the what mark said afterward made it seem as tho he was pissed off at mark & flip for abandoning stapp (as that guy might've put it)... anyway, mark thought it was pretty funny, and i can't really recall what he said about stapp tho

I do remember that Guitar Magazine now that I think about it (with the meaning of the crest), but it never flat out said it meant peace. hmmmm, Gabriel here anywhere?????
