Ok so one of my fellow "fuelies" just informed me that Myles has tinnitus. He's a HUGE fan of Myles and has been for a long time and informed me that we'd all love him but he was surprised to hear that he's back in action. Here is the article that he sent me to to read up on Myles' case.

Has anyone else heard of this??????

Yes I've heard of that. You ever been to a concert and as your sitting in your car on the way home you hear that buzz sound from the music in your ears - it's faint but present? That is one form of this. Except you constantly hear that buzz sound, every day and night. Constantly. I'm surprised he suffers from that. I would think that continuing on with music could damage his hearing even more... very interesting.

If I remember correctly, one of the guys of Linkin Park has it too. Possibly Chester, but I'm not certain.

That's too bad. It must be hard on him. Maybe since that article was written, he's gotten a little better :dunno:

Kennedy hasn't given up on his music. Tinnitus has forced him to refocus on a more acoustic approach.
 Isn't that the complete opposite of Alter Bridge

"I love rock 'n' roll, and I do miss it," says Kennedy. "That was my drug for years -- the volume and adrenaline -- and I can't do it any more.

"My ears won't let me."

I guess his ears changed their mind :D. I wonder what it must sound like for him when he performs live.

I don't know but man that would suck to have it! It sounds annoying. Shadow - you're too funny "Maybe his ears changed their mind :D !"

He's obviously some what better or he wouldn't be with Alter Bridge. Well, let's HOPE he's better. Wouldn't want to get attached to Alter Bridge and then have to go through another change. :(

It is technically known as "ringing of the ears" it is really not a big deal, I would not worry about it. I am a nurse, trust me on this one. :D

Oooh really. I was wondering what the hell Tinnitus was. But as long as it's not a big deal then I'm not worried for my baby. J/k lol

ok good to have someone to have a professional opinion on it. but he must have had it fairly badly if he had to knock back an audition for Velvet Revolver! oh myles and slash almost as good myles and tremonti!
