What are your favorite sports.

To watch mine are football and hockey. To play street hockey, basketball and golf (frustrating as hell).

we don't get much cricket covered in the states. I also like to watch bowling LOL

I had a bad snowboarding experience. There wasn't much real snow so they had to make most of it which was icy. The instructor didn't teach us crap, there also was no powder (mostly ice). I made it down the hill once unscathed. I slammed my head on the ice hard and haven't done it since.

hayley
11-26-2002, 01:06 AM

To get by without hurting myself or in this case I didn't fall on my ass.

The definition is - unharmed, without injury.

I actually spelled it right, I don't use the word often

DangerousDan85
11-26-2002, 01:55 AM
Yeah I killed my ass when I went snowboarding.

I also broke an arm playing hockey (violent sport)

hayley
11-26-2002, 01:58 AM
you beroke your arm? how the hell did that happen?
yeah i don't like hockey that much, way to violent....and hey, my toes are delicate.;)

DangerousDan85
11-26-2002, 02:04 AM
A huge guy went to check me into the boards (I was facing him) and your not supposed to put your arms out infront of your chest and I learned that the ay. It got crushed between him and me, when he was checking me from the front.

It wasn't as bad a break as when I was like 5 because then the bone was like bulging the skin (didn't rip through). I jumped off a chimney half way up and landed arms first.

So I've learned don't put your arms infront of you when about to hit something.

Yeah I had a bad year when I was 5. I broke an arm, went to the hospital with major dehydration, and tripped down the stairs which put a popsicle stick through the bottom of my mouth, the soft part under the jaw.

hayley
11-26-2002, 02:12 AM
OWWWW JESUS!!! far out you must have been a very very adventurous child...LOL
but dehydration, oh that's yucky.:(

DangerousDan85
11-26-2002, 02:15 AM
Yeah it was really bad. I'm always getting hurt and I've always been a sick kid. Maybe it's all happening for a reason.

TENNIS, SOCCER and CAR RACING: stock cars (I love Nascar, when I visited US, I made my dad drive to Daytona, to watch the pre-season practices! Never forgot that day!), Formula One (still the best category), CART/IRL, Rally and karts! (so much fun to drive it!!!)

These above are my favourite by far!

But I still like (to play): basketball, baseball (I played it only twice, though :( ), volley, mini-golf (hehehehe), bowling, badminton...
Maybe I´m forgeting something...

Although I suck on most of this sports, except for tennis...
I´m trully a sports fan!

But I can´t stand to watch gridiron (your football)... Baseball, basketball and hockey are really boring to watch too... imo...
except for hockey, the others take so long, so much time... they play, they time-out, they tv time-out... I´m not very patient...

You can argue with me that soccer is boring too... I agree, most of the games are boring, you gotta be careful to choose which game to watch... the European soccer sucks... Brazilian soccer is much more fast and dinamic... too bad we´re not organized, otherwise we´d have the NBA of soccer...

European soccer doesn't sux!!!!!!!!!!!!So The Premiership,Primera Division sux too???:( I don't agree with you..
I love soccer,tennis,volleyball :D

I live in Jersey. Racing hasn't really caught on up here just yet. I, myself, just started watching during the Daytona 500 this year, but I was thoroughly hooked and have been ever since.

Yeah, it does!!!

Real x Barça last weekend was so unfun...

Italian League makes me sleepy...
Primera Divison is only worthy to watch when it´s Barça or Real... but only when Figo, Zidane, Raul, Ronaldo and company really decide to play soccer, and not just pretend they play...
I don´t wacth Premiership, so I don´t have a opinion... I saw Man Utd x Basel, though... great goal from Man...

I love baseball on TV or at the ballpark, but much better at the park. There is nothing like sitting in the stands on a beautiful summner day, kicking back with some snacks and a beer or soda and watching baseball. I LOVE it. If the Phillies get Jim Thome, I will be living at Veterans Stadium this summer. I LOVE him.

Did you just overhear the conversation I just had with my husband?? I swear I just told him if the Phils get Thome I will be back at the Vet this summer. I love baseball and I love going to the stadium.

Can you get better seats being in the sports biz? Or do you go the regular box office route? I had season tickets from 91-93, when they went to the Series! That was awesome. But our work schedules changed and that was the last year I had them.

No good deals through work. I go box office. Nobody goes to Phillies games, so tix are easy to get. We just walk up to the box office on game day.

I was watching some superbowl on tv the other day, i dont know how u americans can watch that game, its so slow, so stop start.
Now rugby league that is a fast paced game, and theres bigger hits, and they dont have to wear padding and helmets

What the hell, thought i might stir things up a bit.
American football just isnt my thing, but i do love watching the highlights though.

Lauren does dance and karate. Tyler is not 3 yet so he is not of age to do anything like that yet. once he is 3 they have a little kickers soccer team. i don't think there is much competition, but they learn the basics.

I was really surprised how competetive the 5 year olds were on Jenn's soccer team. They finished 9-1 this season and she was so damn proud of her trophy. They all really got into it!

that is too cool, lauren had a tournament for karate back in september and she was the first of 300 kids, for a 3 year old and all ages participating I thought that was awesome. she got a trophy bigger then she was, she really gets into it and it's been great for the dicipline end of it, she says yes mam and all. it's great.
