There are some things in our lives
That we lay upon our souls
Or were they writ
Before?

Chosen in ethereal form
To learn from time and again
Or do we choose it as
We go?

From the moment we’re born
Till that eternal clock winds down
Mirrors show us of ourselves
In time.

Mirrors of other people’s words
Praising or damning our worth
Watching for our falter
Of step.

But you oh not you love
You won’t point or stare
But help me up
After all.

Love is from you as it is from me
Radiating for everyone to see
My brothers, my sisters
And me.
