I am really getting into this LIVE music stuff! Anyone care to offer comments on your favorite bootleg? If I am going to do some trading - I want to know what's good to come by?

Stace - I guess I worded that kinda wrong - I was just hoping to get some feedback from people who do trade to see what their favorites are so that I can make sure I come by those! Just looking for people's opinions - you know I will be getting them from you anyway!!!!! ;) I am trying to prioritize what I want to snag first! :)

My favourite bootleg is from House of Blues in Orlando in 1998. Back when Stapp's voice was amazing. A lot of the 98 shows are awesome. The summerfest festival in Milwaukee in 98 is a top show too. For later shows, Philly in Spectrum Centre in 1999 is great quality and a top show. None of the 2002 shows are really great quality, but if you can get Houston or Sydney, they're good.

My Houston copy isn't all that great. :( Its right by people who talk a lot.

But my Dallas, '02 is awesome.

Scott's voice hasn't gotten any worse since '98. It's just that he strained his vocal chords last year from the intense tour schedule the guys were following. I don't think his voice was better back then as it is today. He just needs to stay healthy.

I have 15 bootlegs and I'm willing for new ones, specially if someone here has k-roq almost acoustic christmas. There was another concert where they played Metallica during Bullets, I'm dying for them.

If anyone has the ones Tremonti_Fed is talking about, I would like them too!

I disagree. Listen to Stapp in 1998. Its an awesome and powerful voice. The later shows Ive heard lack something. Be it the large arenas, poor health or something else. It was so much better in 1998.

Stapps voice has change drastically. I aquired a live copy of Torn from the 97-98 days and his voice sounds flawless. My favorite copy is the 02 Houston one, cause i was there. Also I edit mine, so i can assure you that my copy sounds better than anyone elses :D. I also love my 97 Dallas. I have about ~55 Creed shows alone, which adds up to my 300+ over all concert collection.

Hey, Ben and Al:

Do you have bootlegs from the last part of weathered tour? I'm looking for a decent version of state college, k-roq almost acoustic, NYE and the other concert (Chicago, I guess???) Mark shredded for 5 minutes during Say I.

I agree with those who say Stapp's voice has gotten worse. Just about all of my favorite bootlegs come before 2000... and the best are from 1998. I'm not talking about quality of recording, but quality of the band performing. The 98 shows just have much more energy than those of 2002.

Yeah, I agree, from what I have of my little collection. I find myself listening to the ones from 97-99 more often than the Weathered tour. I really think he overdid it on the last tour.

Tremonti Fed, I've got a State College show, 19/11/02 is the date on it.

Ben, it's me, Marcos from Brazil (aka the coordinates in Human Clay, previously on this board)

Is this State College bootleg you got good? I heard there's a lot of noise along with it that you can barely hear the songs... dunno if it's true
