Warning: This one's a little dark...

Lost in a cloud
Of dust and debris
Can’t find that light
Inside of me

Like stone in shoe
It chafes my mind
So hard to shake
But harder to grind

In a haze I call his name
Take my hand, let’s ease the pain
It’s not too late to break the code
All you do is lock and load

The scarlet letters
They boldly shout
You missed the sign
So sure of doubt

Awake I lie
Awash in sweat
Trapped inside
I can’t forget

Now the spider bites again
Body’s numb, I just give in
Poison courses through my veins
A twitch or two, I’m switching lanes

In a daze I call his name
Take my hand, let’s ease the pain
It’s not too late to break the code
All you do is lock and load

LOL, creedsister, that's OK :)., and thanks again for the kind words, you guys...I do tend to write in spurts, as it's a great outlet, but I've only been trying poetry for the last year or so...As I've gotten to know more people on this bb, I feel a little more comfortable putting them out there... I have been on a bit of jag of late, though.

i now see why you like AIC and Jerry! I prefer Stapp's writing style dark but a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel!
