Anyone else notice the little mother-of-pearl birds on the frets of Mark's custom PRS? You can see them here, kind of. (http://www.prsguitars.com/showcase/current/images/gt_mt.jpg) Or here. (http://www.magdonmusic.com/guitar/prs/TREMONTI.jpg) Is there any symbolism behind them, or are they just there for show? They just seem weird to me :dunno:

absolutely not
the bird inlays are a trademark of PRS...they are options on most of their guitars. some ppl say that the bird inlay make a PRS a PRS...tremonti prs has bird inlays cos Mark probably wanted it (and he can afford it) they are probably a hundred - a few hundred more than the standard pearl inlay
the TSE doesn't have it cos of the price
hope that helped
:)
cheers

:embarass: Doh! I feel stupid now. I had actually been looking at the PRS website at the same time but only noticed the designs on Mark's model for some reason. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up for me :D . I'll look closer next time!

You could always pay thousands more for a custom model of a custom model PRS guitar.

Yeah, but I'm a lil tight on cash....considering i'm an umemployed frshman in HS.......so i think I'll wait a lil while to get one a those....tho i could get a left handed Mcarty w/ Platnum Mitallic finish ....like the Higher one......
