I support the military... and we have the greatest government setup in the world... but it is run by a bunch of ass-clowns and there is very few in America, this country I USED to be proud to live in (I still am sorta...) that realize what rights and privalges they DO have... and if they dont want war... have them go live in a country where they can starve to death, be forced into voting for someone you hate, and be shot if you dont... peace my ass...:finger:

Yeah. I actually agree with you again Lechium. As my history professor said "Jay Leno, David Letterman, and pornography keep America free more than any military." Hussein... what has he ever done to US anyhow? envaded Kuwait? US invaded Hawaii. Made bio weapons? US made much more than that. I dont see how he is trying to run this country over. Iraq was attacked because of oil, not because of self defence.
And Castro... when has he ever tried to invade America? CIA tried to assasinate him many times, yeah, but I just dont see how little underdeveloped country like Cuba can overrun US. And Cuban missile crisis -- well Cuba was used there, it was not their plan.
And Bin Landen... well he was trained and financed by America.

Bottom line -- dont be paranoid. And if thsi country was melower in its external policies noone will want it no harm. Just look at Switzerland -- wealthy country... and noone wants to atatck them! Why? They dont mess with anyone.

The avatar is the topic of this thread, not your politics. My husband is in the Navy and has recently volunteered to serve in the Honor Guards at Military funerals. Since the many men and women from WWII are now passing away at a rapid rate, there are too many Military funerals and not enough Honor Guard members of the military to serve at the funerals. So he's volunteered to honor them and their memory. I respect the hell out of him and all the men and women of our armed forces, and that is what that avatar reminds me. Not Bush or Hussein or Bin laden. Just OUR men and women in the military.

Lech..has some points if you truly want to understand why the US does these things look back into history and something called "MANIFEST DESTINY" it explains alot about American mentality...and I always support and respect our people in the armed forces..they are doing a job I could never do...

I have no problem with soldiers and lower ranked officers, who just do their job. I respect them, and metter of fact tried to join militaty, but paperwork bullshit stopped me in my tracks (well they wount let me be an officer cuz I'm not a citizen.. blah).
It's whoever's at the controls, is who's pissing me off.

Manifest Desteny... heh in High Shcool they ols me that it's a thing of a past, but hey they were lying =)

here's an interesting fact...ever heard of the Indian Removal Act?? Hitler studied American's practices in the removal of the indians and then did it to the jews...hense history repeating itself in a sick twisted way...sad but very true...
