I guess most of you have heard of the mom in Texas who killed her sons by stoning them/throwing rocks or something like that. I was so upset I couldn't even read the article!! "Mothers" like that give mothers a bad name. My kids push me to the limit alot, but I could never kill my own children!! I'd rather walk out the door and leave forever before seriously injuring or killing them! At least they'd still have their lives to live!! How, after carrying that life inside you for 9 months and doing everything in your power to have a healthy child, and keep them safe from harm after their birth, can someone do something so unfeeling and disgusting?!! Maybe she "snapped" suddenly... I dunno... I'm just so upset whenever I hear about moms killing their kids; it seems to happen more and more often lately... Thanks for letting me vent:mad: :(

OK, now that upsets me even more; God would NEVER tell anyone to kill except in the case of Abraham and Isaac, but then God told him not to after all.... I dunno, just some sick puppies out there!:(

it's really really really really really really sad..................
Being a mother myself I can NOT imagine what she did. It is so insane. She really must be insane, anyone who can kill their own children are in my opinion out of their minds. To think that they actually arnt insane is unfathomable. How can you be in your right mind and kill anyone, let alone your own children. It's impossible. She needs some serious help.

People like her shouldn't even be ALLOWED to have children, there are sooo many women out there who CAN'T have kids...They also said on the news that the father was inside sleeping...was he comatose or something???

Ok... i work in a mental hosp. and i am not defending the mother in this or other situations but i have come to learn that the mind is a very fragile thing for some people...it can break so easily especially with weak people...it is up to people that are around that person to see the danger signs and help, they cannot help themselves if i believe that the person standing next to me is out to get me and my mind believes this for no reason other than it is only in my mind it is my duty to protect myself...even if that person is a small innocent child...or if said person thinks the only way to save that childs sole is to kill them. it is sick and i see it all the time and when they get to us we hear family members say all the time that they were acting weird for years.....well if that is the case WHY DID THEY NOT speak up then and help the children.

So it sometimes falls to the people around the broken person to know the signs...they donot see themselves as being sick...i don't know if this case falls into this catagory but it sounds like it and there are losers all around... :crying:

I heard about this. She stoned all 3 of her kids, the 8 yr. old and 5 yr. old died and the 2 year old lived. I think this mother should be stoned to death.

I agree with you creedchick, she needed help I'm sure long before this happened. That's what I meant by saying she HAD to be insane to do this. It's a shame her husband didn't see the signs!!!!

Yeah as a nurse I can see where you are coming from, there are some VERY sick people out there. But I agree she should of had family that saw the "signs." Some people see them, but choose to ignore them because they don't know what to do! The stigma of mental illness is unfortunate. BUT....... as a woman who has suffered a misscarraige I also feel anger because I would love to have a child to love, and I would treat them well and bring them up well, life is just not fair, sometimes it just plain SUCKS!

So true, Jen, plus I think people just don't want to believe that a loved one could be that ill. It's a sad situation, no doubt.

Those poor children...I wonder sometimes how many of these stories are going to happen before society FINALLY realizes that this is a problem..this depth of depression/illness..that there needs to be intervention and education...
It happened to me, I never wanted to hurt my children, but I thought ALOT about killing myself...and I hid it,,my husband didn't know till I told him...there needs to be education that there is no shame in asking for help...maybe if woman were not made to feel like they were less than or crazy they would get the help...

You and Jen are so right, goddess. I'm not a mom but I love my family and I took care of my nephews when they were young. Granted I realize that it's not the same as being a mom and having to take care of them day after day. But I know in my heart that I would do anything for them.
