I love their latest video too! Straight Out of Line is the song.

Gotta say this. I'm also a member of the Godsmack BB and I asked if there were any Creed fans. This one guy said a very rude comment about how Creed's music isn't real or something like that.

I like some of their stuff, not all of it though! Voodoo gets on my nerves the most! A lot of people think the lead singer looks like Scott, I don't think so at all:rolleyes: I like the song they had on the scorpion king soundtrack, it rocks!!!!

I like them too, but a lot of their music is pretty simplistic, besides the solos. They like to repeat chord combinations in separate songs, but overall they're a nice band to listen to. (Even though Sully hates Creed :P )

I never knew Sully hated Creed. Hmmm... He recently mentioned Creed in a pretty good way in an article once. Well... not good... but not anywhere near bad either.

I've noticed that they repeat chourd combinations a lot, but I still love them!

Hmm, interesting. I belong to a Jerry Cantrell board and almost everyone over there has nasty things to say about Godsmack, mostly because they think Godsmack are Alice In Chains rip-offs soundwise. Also, AIC has a song called God Smack and Godsmack's latest album is called Faceless, which they say is take on AIC's first album, Facelift. And Alice also had a sun logo for the album Dirt. It was designed by Layne Staley. I don't know that much about Godsmack's history, so maybe somebody can correct me if I'm wrong, but did they start out as Alice tribute band or something? I've heard that, but I don't know if that was real or a tongue-in-cheek kind of comment.

Yes indeed, there is a bit of a feud brewing between the two, but it's not quite as substantial or widespread as say, the link between Creed and Pearl Jam, etc. However, it's inevitable and unfortunate that those comparisons are made.

Back on topic... I don't mind Godsmack, but lately, once you've heard one song, it seems as if you've heard them all. I think that's what gives "Voodoo" it's quality, it's different than the rest. Sully's got a great voice, but the songs seem to be manufactured. Manufactured not in the "pop music bubble gum" sense, but manufactured in the Godsmack machine... if you understand.

Yes, I agree. Alice (or those who are left) has been fairly silent about the comparisons; I think it's mostly the fans who do the most grumbling.

I am a godsmack fan but not true straight out fan becuase of the use of same chords over and over sometimes, sometimes they are repetitive, in addition I dislike like their new drummer, but you know I do not control them....

To me: GODSMACK RULZ!! After Creed of course!! I love Godsmack and am very impatiently waiting for next Tuesday (4/8)when their next cd comes out!! I would follow them around the country, like I did with Creed!! It's hard for me to pick which band I love the best, so they are a tie for me!! I too sooo agree that Sully and Scott look absolutely NOTHING the same, I can't believe anyone even suggested they look anything alike...I think of Sully as my bad boy and Scott as my good boy!! lol!! Love both bands equally.

I was there on Tuesday to get it too!! I had listened to a radio show with them Monday nite..They did an acoustic set...IT ROCKED!! I had never heard anything from them acousticly, they did, Voodoo, The Spiral, Keep Away and Serenity from the new cd..they were GREAT!! I wish they'd come out with an acoustic cd, it was really cool!! Also saw them on Leno Tuesday and am going to watch them on Jimmy Kimmel tonite (4/11) and Mad TV on Saturday nite...They are soooo AWESOME!! I went to Orlando on new years eve to see them play at the hard rock live...It had to be one of the BEST concerts I've ever been to (besides Creed) I can honestly say that there isn't one Godsmack song I don't like, just the way I feel about Creed, I would follow them all over the country, like I did with Creed last year!! To all you Godsmack fans like me...ROCK ON!!

I was also able to get the new cd for $8.99, they said on the e-mail Godsmack.com sent me, that for the first week they were selling them at Target, Best Buy and Circuit City for that price and K-Mart is charging $9.99...WHAT A STEAL, For a most rockin' cd!! Gotta love Sully for that, he feels that we, the fans, pay WAY to much for concerts, cd, etc....I'd kiss him if I could!! lol

Oh, dear you MUST find the time, it is an awesome cd!! I was out Tuesday, the day it came out!! I'm a total Godsmack FREAK!! There are a few bands that I love that I can't find ONE song that I don't like and that would be Godsmack for me as it would be for Creed, Disturbed and others. But the 3 I just said would have to be my MOST FAVORITE BANDS!! love them all!! If you can, I would go get it soon. They said that for the first week it would only cost $8.99, and that is a steal for this cd!! Can't wait til you can hear it, you should like it!! IMO!! :D

I saw them in Orlando at the Hard Rock Live on New Years Eve and let me tell you.....THEY ROCKED!! They put on an AWESOME show!! I can't wait til they come to my hometown and have a show, so far, nothing!! I'm sooo bummed!! They're going to be in Milwaukee on 5/31 and wouldn't you know it, I'll be in ORLANDO!! :crying: My kid is making plans to go and everytime she brings it up, I get pissy!! I want to see them again sooo bad!! I saw them on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Friday nite, they did I Stand Alone...it was AWESOME, of course!! :D

I'm a concert junkie!! I love nothing more than to go to concerts..I just saw Disturbed Friday nite and they were positively AWESOME!! Next up is XFest Memorial weekend, Godsmack 6/2, Ozzfest and Metallica in July and Lollapolooza in July as well..haven't gotten tix for that yet, but I will!!

I saw Godsmack on VH1's "Sex and Rock and Roll" special. They were at the Playboy mansion etc... Boy Sully is a short man hugh? He is kindda funny looking too( sorry girls:embarass: ) He just looked kind of goofy on this big handle bar Harley, he could barely reach the handle bars:P He is quite the party animal though, he was licking the playmates feet and all kinds of stuff, he looks like a "Bad Boy" for sure;)

Me either!! I'm soo glad summer is here...have quite a few concerts lined up!! And Lollapalooza has been decided for me...guess if I want to go, have to go to Milwaukee...they cancelled the show here in Minneapolis..which is ok by me..the set up was gonna suck...some bands at the Target Center and some at First Avenue...they said that trying to get here was gonna be hard to do, so they cancelled the show here...kind of bummed, but I'd rather see it outside anyways!!!!
