Just wondering what other bands apart from creed do u guys find really inspirational to you. Lyric wise or whatever it might be.
Even if its just one song.

I listen to music all the time when i'm like feeling really down.
The band that really picks me up along with creed, is U2.
Dont know what i would do without them.

I also find inspiration from The cranberries, pearl jam, POD, REM, Third eye blind (a couple of their songs), 3 doors down. And afew more that alude me right now.

This thread will probably end up the same as the fav bands thread but oh well we'll see.

Defenetly dredg.

dredg -- Sanzen

"I can’t even concentrate on this,
It’s over thought, anticipated,
The pen ink is running dry,
It’s been thrown to paper and wasted,

Creativity has been blocked and over tasted,
Maybe in time, I’ll appreciated it…

Hold on, hold on, we’ll be with you soon,
We’ll be with you soon…

These papers are stuck in this book,
‘till they’re thrown out and pasted,
to inside of my memory,
where I can later look and see them in a new gallery,

where they can later be viewed and appreciated.

Hold on, hold on, we’ll be with you soon,
We’ll be with you soon…

Longing for what has been lost,
And longing for what hasn’t been obtained,
It’s a small cost, forgot the past, lost the future,
Only now remains…

Hold on, hold on, we’ll be with you soon,
We’ll be with you soon…"

dredg -- Same Ol' Road

"Here we go down that same old road again,
Sympathy unfolds the shell that holds,
All beauty within,
Here we go down that same old road again,

A memory, a regret, a hope…

Here we go down that same old road again,
Empathy controls the wind that blows,
And tickles our skin,

A memory, a regret, a hope, a stimulant…

Recent it seem, we must push on,
We must push on, though we bleed,
We must push on, we must push on…

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood,
In a modest town where honest people dwell.
Making the cleanest energy,
For the cleanest plants to grow,

In the richest soil that is drenched,
With the freshest rain,

Then you should sit in your backyard,
Watch clouds peak over the tallest mountain tops,
Because they unveil honest opinions about the stars.

We must push on, recent it seems,
We must push on, we must push on,
Though we bleed, we must push on, we must push on…

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood..."

i would suggest that you listen to the song first then read this and then watch the video, but....

the premise behind the song is about a little girl with a mental disorder (Multiple Sclerosis). i believe (dont quote me) that she dies from it. i personally think the song is very moving, specially the video.

Hi,

Don't know if any of you guys listen to much Brittish music......but Oasis are great.

A lot of Brittish bands don't take put enough energy into trying to crack America, which is sad, cos there are few good bands out there.

 ;)

Me too. One of my favorite songs from Joshua Tree was one that was never released as a single - Trip Through Your Wires. OMG, I absolutely love that song!!! I think it's my favorite on the cd.

Really, cool. Trip through you wires ive never liked as much as the others on the album, but its still a really good song.

My favs on joshua tree are -
With or without you, bullet the blue sky, mothers of the disappeared, running to stand still.

It's okay faceless kiwi, you didn't make me feel old although I was around 24 yrs old when it was released compared to you being 2!! But I'm used to being around people that are younger then me. All my coworkers that sit near me are all in their early to mid twenties. I really don't feel my age at all - 40 in May.:) I enjoy being with people of all ages.
