I got up really late this morning. I got up at 7:00 and my cousin comes after me at 7:30. I had to dress really nice today because I was turning in some applications for jobs. Pretty crazy!!

My bed is calling me BAD!!!! I worked 13 hours today and I am exhausted! I had crazy patients to take care of today! A methadone addict, a marine who got a DUI and trashed a Navigator, a 340lb pervert, a demented cardiac patient who pulled out every IV line in her body, and many more fun filled patients! I even had a patient smoke in her room in the bed while she had oxygen on!!!:eek: could of blown up the whole unit!!! It was a blast today!!! I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!!;) :lol:

Thanks!!! Sometimes I realize the responsibility I have in the hospital and it scares the crap out of me!!! Sometimes it hits me, "If I give too much of this med, I could kill this person!":eek: :eek: I try to not think like that a lot, or I would be nervous all the time, but I take my job EXTREMELY serious and burn the candle at both ends!!!! I am so wipped and tired mentally and physically when I come home I can just crash!!!!!! It is all worth it, it times like today when a Spanish speaking elderly lady patient of mine was so thankful for what I had done for her all day, she just looked at me and smiled and kissed my hand and said Gracious Gracious I love you!:D

I now salute you for real, in an honorable way JenRN, without the jokeing. Nurses are the greatest, giving their all... and then some...I'm proud of you, when I hear you talk on the board of your experienses, maybe cuz my mom was a nurse, and cuz my daughters are both gonna be nurses...I just know, I never tire of reading anything you have to say...;) :) :angel:
