The guy's mansion uses more energy in a month than the average American's house does in a year. "Hypocrite" is a more suitable word.

Yeah, but not every American wins Oscars for documentaries about the global warming, huh?

It's funny, here in Sweden... people seem to take the Academy Awards way more seriously than people do back home. The Academy is political... in terms of giving awards and making political statements. They gladly praised Michael Moore's mockumentary... but completely overlooked Mel Gibson's movie "The Passion of the Christ." You have guys like Jon Stewart hosting them... you have actors using the podium as a place to talk about why they despise the government. The Academy has become a joke over the years.

at first, i wondered if they would ever revoke his awards for creating some insincere piece of political stuff to make money... then i remembered it's hollywood we're talking about here....

I just saw the movie (I refused to pay for it I found an online stream) there is little truth in it most of it is distortion or just flat out lies not don't get me wrong I am a person who does his part but the things al gore suggests in his movie to do to correct this problem of global warming is either useless or does more harm than good.
