Global warming and hybrid cars....

I saw this thing on either Dateline or 20/20 over the weekend,on global warming,and how they are trying to push the whole hybrid car thing. Are they really a solution to cease global warming? Or are car companies just trying to make money? I was just browsing over some of those hybrid cars,and the cheapest one I saw was $19,000 or $20.000.

You'd think that if they were considering these cars a solution to global warming that they would be a little bit cheaper.

What are you're thoughts on this?

It's a scientific fact that the temperature of the sun has risen. How are we going to change that by driving a hybrid vehicle.
The earth has gone through drastic climate changes long before mankind industrialized. Large valcano eruptions have equaled the amount of pollution created by humans and the atmosphere filters and survives.
Don't drink the Al Gore cool-aide!:), but if you do, remember this phrase "the sky is falling, the sky is falling":laugh:
