What do you think is the best guitarsolo on One Day Remains?

The one of...

... Find The Real
... One Day Remains
... Open Your Eyes
... Burn It Down
... Down To My Last

I would say the best one is the solo from Open Your Eyes or the solo from Burn It Down. The FDRsolo is as well great!!

Throughout the entire CD Mark's solos rock. My favorites are Watch Your Words, Metalingus and The End is Here.

FIND THE REAL!!!!!!!! I saw them at the HOB in Anaheim, CA and it was what I was looking forward to the most:tremonti: It's not the longest solo, but still my favorite.

FTR is definitely my favorite, followed closely by OYE and ODR. Great stuff there.

April 12th, I was at the bar(supporting Jagermeister) near the entrance. Just a mexican guy in a black AB t-shirt but there was this tall drunk guy practically having sex with short girlfriend next to me, it was a spectacle:wtf: Didn't that "rap" act SUCK? Submersed and Future Leaders rocked!

lol...i was right up on the rail in front of myles...so i probably didn't see you. but yeah, that "rap" thing was kinda lame...i actually recognized them though from a few years back, they had a song on the radio out here...heaven is a halfpipe or something was the name of it. they played it on KROQ a lot.

as for the topic, my favorite is DTML and FTR, but i love them all and can't wait for new ones!!

You do know what a guitar solo is, right? None of those songs have one...

My Fav is One Day Remains...

yeah...The one in Open Your Eyes is fast... but there's not a whole lot of articulation in it and it sounds a little sloppy... (i know how it is tho... lol... it takes alot of work to do fast alternate picking sound clean)

Well I think espacially Open Your Eyes solo has alot of feeling and articulation. I think it's one of the best solos of the album.

yeh......and the way the solo starts from that slow bridge ( or interlude or whatever its called)................... i mean the record company did good selecting OYE as the first single to release as it has actually something for the live fans to sing..................... that part before the solo................

I think it's ODR, it's the one that best fits to the rest of the music when compared to the others.

But my fav Tremonti solo still is SHWM.

Uh, no, they aren't. Metalingus has nothing even resembling a solo. It has tons of fills but fills=/=solos.

Anyway I love FTR, ODR. BID is also good. I really DON'T like OYE as much as I used to. It just seems so... predictable.

OYE got over played since it was the first single. It's my 2nd favorite solo on the album:

1- ODR
2- OYE
3- DTML
4- FTR
5- BID

Ya know I was going to yell at you (*everybody run and hide!*) for that order but then I was like... well... they are all darn good. Listing them seems almost pointless. Although I definitely think OYE is the weakest of the bunch. On its own, it is great, but I still don't understand why he picked that song to shred like crazy in...

i love OYE and the way tremonti shreds throught out the song.............every bodies chocie is basically his own opinion and different people have different opinions .................

Cuz THAT'S a line I have never heard before...

He DOESN'T shred throughout OYE though, thats the problem. He just randomly decides to make the solo four thousand times faster than the rest of the song.

I see your point Stephen, that's why I said the ODR solo is the one that best fits to the context of the song. I don't know why Mark picked that one, but it's the same line of thought in ARTS for example, with the Spanish interlude. Just to throw some spice in and change things a bit.

as for my list, it's just my preference... I didn't list them by skill level or difficulty, it's random plain and simple. To be quite honest, my favorite Tremonti solo to this day still is SHWM.

And my all time favorite solo is Crazy Train's.

SHWM... SHWM... SHWM... *is trying to place initials with song*

Nope. Can't find it in that dark and scary place that is my brain. Which one is that?

I like all of his solos. Taken out of the song they are all great. Put into the song I would prolly go:

FTR
ODR
DTML
BID
OYE

His solos from MOP were pretty good, pity for a dime especially. His "solos" on Human Clay were nothing off the sort and I don't think he even attempted anything on Weathered...
